The Irishman hits 13 million views in the first five days

The Irishman hits 13
Martin Scorsese's movie The Irishman attracted a large and somewhat stationary audience throughout his first five days on Netflix, the evaluation service says that the 3.5-hour mafia saga attracted an average audience of 13.16 million viewers from November 27 to December 1.
With an average daily of 2.15 million (Sunday, December 1) and 3.14 million viewers (Friday, November 29). A total of 17.1 million viewers watched at least part of the film.

The decades-old story starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Bisque was more popular with viewers ages 50 and over, who make up nearly half of the average viewers over five days.
Statistics say that men between the ages of 50 and 64 make up 20 percent of the audience on the first show day and 15 percent of the audience that lasts for five days.

The SVOD ratings from Nielsen only measure TV viewing in the United States. Netflix asserts that the numbers do not reflect the total audience for their content, as it does not include worldwide viewership or those viewing on other devices.
Like other broadcast platforms, Netflix does not release watch data regularly, although the company highlights a few projects in its quarterly earnings reports.

The Irish attracted a much larger audience within five days of the expected Breaking Bad film El Camino which had 8.2 million, but could not compete with the Bird Box movie which got 16.9 million views in December 2018.

The Irish also had a limited cinematic show before it premiered on Netflix.
